1、Is there an “Program Application” orientation for exchange program?

The Office of Global Affairs, Guanghua School of Management, holds “International Day” annually to explain and answer questions about the exchange program.

The Guanghua “International Day” will be held on 26 November 2021 from 12:30-16:00 in Room 301 of Guanghua Building 1. Students who are interested in applying for the exchange program are advised to reserve your time in advance.

2、How can I obtain information about the partner institutions and their application requirements?

Fact Sheets and promotional videos for each institution will also be shared with students via One Drive.

3、How do I apply for the exchange program?

Students must first complete the system registration and verify the email (PKU email only). Log in after you sign up successfully at:   http://exchange.gsm.pku.edu.cn/application/student/login.html

4、When should I apply for the exchange program? How many times a year does the selection process take place?

Only once for academic year 2022-2023 (Fall 2022, Winter/Spring 2023).

The online application portal opens on January 15, 2022 and closes at 9am on February 25, 2022. You can check and amend your application before submitting. Not allowed to change after submission.

5、What is the length of the exchange program?

The length is a semester. A semester at our partner institutions is between 2-4 months.

6、What is the tuition fee for the exchange period?

Only pay regular tuition to PKU and tuition fee to host institution is waived.

7、Is it possible to exchange for an entire year?

No. As exchange slots are limited, we hope to give more students the opportunity to participate in exchange programs. It is also not allowed to apply for an exchange extension while on exchange. Please refer to Guanghua Office of Global Affairs for further information if a year-long exchange program is available at particular institutions.

8、Can students apply multi host institutes at the same time?

Yes. There is no limit to the number of institutions you can apply to. It is important that you rank them carefully as we select in order.

9、When do I start my exchange term?

Undergraduate: First or second semester of junior year.

Undergraduate who is postgraduate recommendation: Second semester of postgraduate studies.

MFin (BA), Academic Master, MPAcc, Maud, and MBA: Third or fourth semester

10、What is the approximate cost of living for a semester?

• In general,the approximate cost of living for four months : about 30,000-50,000 RMB in Asia, 60,000-80,000 RMB in North America, Europe, Australia, etc.

11、Are there scholarships available for the exchange program?

Offer a limited number of scholarships for the semester exchange program, please contact the Office of Student Affairs for details.
