The Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) program at Guanghua School of Management, Peking University, is committed to cultivating comprehensive, competitive, and high-level accounting and financial talent. The program emphasizes the development of students' professional knowledge in the accounting and financial fields, as well as, international perspective, leadership and execution, integrated management capabilities and professional ethics and integrity. As of July 2018, the MPAcc program has more than 500 alumni since 2005. The current enrollment this year is 45 students.
Brand-new Curriculum Structure
Our brand-new curriculum includes basic courses, professional courses, electives and featured courses. The basic courses deliver theoretical and practical knowledge in accounting and finance, as well as develop students’ leadership and execution abilities, understanding of relevant macroeconomic policies, integrated management capabilities, and professional ethics and integrity. The professional courses provide students with the latest developments in the field of advanced technology of accounting analysis and decision-making, and enhance their abilities to analyze and solve practical problems. Elective professional courses are designed to focus on developing students’ professionalism and ability to apply theories to real-world case studies. The program offers featured courses in the areas of history, philosophy, humanities and ethics. The courses aim to deliver analysis on some important life themes, help students to pursue great life wisdom, and establish students’ values and views on life. Moreover, students can learn and be inspired by the research of China's ancient management theories to achieve the goal of "making the past serve the present".professional courses are designed to focus on developing students’ professionalism and ability to apply theories to real-world case studies. Integrated Practicum Project
The Integrated Practicum Project (IPP) is a cooperative project between business and education. The project aims to create a joint practice platform of enterprise and school to address real business problems for local enterprises, and to enhance the comprehensive management capabilities of MPAcc students. This Integrated Practicum Project is a required course and serves as a platform for companies to work with the Guanghua MPAcc program. These projects are a valuable opportunity provided by Guanghua for MPAcc students to apply what they have learned in the classroom to solving real-world problems.
International Experience
Building on the international platform of Guanghua School of Management, MPAcc program provides students with many opportunities to gain international experience through exchange programs and short-term overseas learning trips. These international programs are aimed at broadening students' vision and enriching their learning experience in a diverse set of disciplines such as accounting, finance, international business, and innovations. The Global Business immersion course offered by MPAcc program is a week-long study trip to various overseas business schools during the summer vacation. The program includes lectures covering the topics of economics, finance, politics and management, corporate visits as well as cultural activities, which enrich students' overseas experience and expand their global vision.
Alumni Network
Guanghua School of Management has one of the strongest alumni networks among Chinese business schools. There are currently more than 30,000 Guanghua alumni and nearly 500 MPAcc alumni. They play important roles in their respective fields in China and abroad. Guanghua has established 26 regional alumni associations as well as other alumni organizations across the country. These high-quality alumni resources provide strong support for our students.
MPAcc program has organized a variety of activities and events to further develop alumni relationship and leverage these resources. Every year we invite outstanding alumni to participate in the MPAcc Mentorship Program that allow alumni to share their experience with the students and to provide internship opportunities.
